Cloud ERP for growing businesses

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Microsoft's cloud ERP for growing businesses: finance, supply chain, sales, projects and service in one Azure-hosted suite.

Our relationship with this platform: Independent implementation and support. Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a product of Microsoft Corporation. We are not an authorised reseller and do not hold a vendor certification unless stated otherwise in writing; licences are contracted directly with Microsoft or its licensing partner.

Who this platform suits

Good fit

  • Growing SMEs and mid-market businesses already working in Microsoft 365 that want finance and operations in one place.
  • Companies whose accounting software no longer covers inventory, purchasing, projects or service work.
  • Subsidiaries and branches of groups that standardise on the Microsoft cloud stack.
  • Businesses that want reporting connected to Power BI and the Power Platform without custom glue.

Poor fit — be honest about this before committing

  • Very small businesses that only need bookkeeping and invoicing — the licence and implementation cost will not justify itself.
  • Heavy discrete manufacturing with complex shop-floor scheduling, which leans towards the Finance & Operations edition.
  • Organisations unwilling to budget for subscription licensing and structured implementation.
  • Businesses without a named internal owner for the system after go-live.

Capabilities

Financial management

General ledger, multi-currency, budgets, dimensions for departmental and project tracking, fixed assets, cash-flow forecasting and audit trails.

Supply chain and inventory

Purchasing, sales order processing, multi-warehouse inventory, replenishment planning and item tracking by batch or serial.

Projects and service

Project costing and billing, resource management, service contracts and case handling for service-oriented teams.

Microsoft ecosystem

Native integration with Outlook, Teams, Excel and the Power Platform, so approvals and workflows sit where staff already work.

Reporting and analytics

Role-based dashboards, Power BI connectivity and OData feeds for custom reporting and consolidation.

Security and control

Role-based permissions, change logs and Azure-hosted security posture, supporting segregation of duties as the team grows.

Deployment model

Cloud on Microsoft Azure as the standard model, with partner-hosted and on-premise options in specific markets. We confirm the deployment model, data location and licensing route with you before any commitment.

What implementation covers

  1. Requirements discovery and fit-gap analysis against standard functionality.
  2. Configuration of finance, supply chain, project and service modules.
  3. Data migration and cleansing from legacy systems.
  4. Integration with Microsoft 365, the Power Platform and banking or payment connectors.
  5. Role-based training, parallel running and cutover.
  6. Go-live support and a structured handover to your internal system owner.

Reporting and integration

Native Power BI dashboards, Excel add-ins, dimensional reporting and a documented OData API for extraction into third-party tools.

Training and support

Role-based training for finance, operations and project teams, administrator handover with written process notes, and an optional support retainer after go-live.

Limitations and dependencies

Every platform has boundaries. Knowing them before you commit is cheaper than discovering them after.

  • Licensing, implementation and partner-ecosystem costs are significant for smaller businesses.
  • Deep manufacturing scenarios may require the Finance & Operations edition or certified add-ons.
  • Configuration quality varies with the implementer — scope and reference-check the project carefully.
  • Customisation beyond configuration requires developer resource and should be minimised.

Frequently asked questions

Are you a Microsoft partner?

We are independent implementers. Unless we state otherwise in writing, we are not an authorised Microsoft reseller and hold no vendor certification. Licences are contracted directly with Microsoft or its licensing partner so your commercial relationship sits with the vendor.

Business Central or the flagship CloudERP platform?

It depends on fit. Businesses already standardised on Microsoft, or with group reporting on the Microsoft stack, often lean to Business Central. Businesses that want one database for accounting, stock, manufacturing, projects, HR and POS with no per-user licence fees often lean to our flagship platform. We will tell you which fits after an assessment — including the cheaper option.

Want a second opinion before you commit?

We are independent of the vendors. We will tell you if this platform is right for you, and we will tell you if it is not.
